-30 seconds after the first flame the sofa starts to catch fire. After that, the fire expands
throughout the room. If this happens and you see it, call the emergency number and leave
the house.
- 1 minute and 4 seconds the material of the sofa melts now the fire is also in the carpet.
The smoke is starting to fill the room.
- 1 minute and 23 seconds, there is not any evidence of the fire on the top floor and the
stairs. Everything seems going well but in the lowest floor the masacre that will burn the
whole house is starting.
- 1 minute and 37 seconds, the smoke fills the room. The gases can reach up to 88oC
- 1 minute 47 seconds, some smoke starts to appear on the floor above.
- 1 minute and 50 seconds, the detector works and sounds alerting all the tenants of the
house.
- 2 minutes 30 seconds, the sofa is over 200oC
- 2 minutes 48 seconds, the black smoke begins to fill the first floor. Downstairs, in the
room, the smoke reaches up to 1 meter 20 centimeters.
- 3 minutes 3 seconds, the lamp burns and also the other sofa. The smoke reaches up to 1
meter and the room is at 280oC. No one can survive with this conditions.
- 3 minutes and 20 seconds, the smoke floods the corridor of the upper floor. From outside
there is still no evidence of the fire
- 3 minutes and 41 seconds, the temperature rises to over 750oC and a flashover occurs,
the windows break and the whole house is filled with flames. 2 minutes after the detector
on the floor below sounded, you can not see anything already inside the house.
- 4 minutes and 33 seconds, now flames can be seen from outside. If this happens at night,
it would be the first thing to be be seen from outside. The flames climb the facade. When
firemen arrive to the house, it is completely on fire and full of smoke. They could not have
rescued anyone who had been trapped inside the house.
Not all fires are like this one, there are faster ones or slower ones. If there is a fire in your
home, leave immediately and call the emergency number.

To prevent this fires from happening at home, take the proper precautions and install a
good fire Alarm and Protection system. Fire Alarm should be raised on detection of the
Smoke, Heat and/or LPG/PNG Gas leakage. The Active Fire Protection Consists of Fire
Extinguisher, should keep in house. The passive fire protection consists of construction
elements and special products arranged to prevent the start of the fire, prevent it from
spreading, prevent it from seriously affecting the building (structural protection) and
facilitate the evacuation of people (luminescent signaling) and a safe performance of the
extinguishing equipment.

They surround themselves with talented people.

Influential often deliver speeches in various public spaces (conferences, live streaming online, boardrooms, etc.). Those influential leaders who are wise surround themselves with trusted friends and colleagues who are available on short notice to edit/revise/evaluate their views and/or arguments. These people help leaders think more critically about their messages before delivering them.

They take classes/hire consultants.

In order to gain an edge on the competition, some influential leaders take classes or hire communication professionals to help them refine their skills (in storytelling, developing metaphors, using irony, creating dramatic effect, deploying critical thinking, strengthening impromptu speaking, etc.).

They get feedback from other influential leaders.

One advantage of being an influential leader is access to other influential leaders within the same field. Strategic influential leaders seek out advice from their peers about their ideas. Confiding in people within the same field equips influential leaders with strategies for how to articulate the complexities of a particular product, idea, or trend in ways an audience will find compelling and relevant.

They record themselves speaking

The speeches influential leaders deliver are a key part of their brand. Thus, influential leaders take intentional steps to make sure their messages look, and sound, and feel appropriate for their audiences. One way influential leaders accomplish this is by video recording themselves speaking (both during their rehearsals and during live speaking events). Leaders then study these recordings to evaluate the strength of their delivery, body language, appeal to logic, use of emotion, credibility of evidence, physical appearance, and overall performance.

They are always learning.

One of the most important ways influential leaders improve their speaking skills is by constantly seeking out new and quality information about their field and related areas of interest. They read constantly (and they read good writing!). They study the many ways messages are constructed and communicated (in writing, in speeches, on television, over the radio, on social media, etc.) and they evaluate the strengths and growing edges of such constructions and communications. In short, influential leaders are constantly seeking ways to develop professionally. Consequently, they bring to their speaking a wealth of knowledge about what works and what doesn’t work when presenting ideas publicly.
